ABOUT SUE
B.Ac., M.B.Ac.C., L.C.S.P.(Assoc.),
B.Sc., M.Sc., D.I.C.
Sue first experienced acupuncture when searching for help with hay fever. She was amazed to find that she gained relief! Sue knew she had found something powerful and wanted to share the results with others.
She originally came from a scientific background and decided to restart her career. She successfully trained for a degree in acupuncture, and for the past three decades, she has worked with people of all ages, dealing with problems such as back and neck pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, digestive problems, allergies, hormonal issues, and children’s health, to name a few. Acupuncture has a detailed diagnostic system and can thus be used as a preventative medicine, correcting imbalances in their early stages.
Sue finds it is great to be able to treat the whole person rather than just the disease and to work with the cause of the problem as well as the symptoms. And with no unwanted side effects!

Sue's Approach
Acupuncture has developed in China over thousands of years. It works with the body’s system of points connected by channels or meridians. In addition, these pathways relate to our physical and mental well-being, which Chinese medicine sees as a whole.
Sue uses traditional pulse and tongue diagnosis. This process assists in the choice of acupuncture points selected especially for you. Treatment with hair-fine needles gently rebalances the meridians. The treatment is very relaxing, and people often doze off during a session!
For over 30 years, Sue has helped people address all kinds of health problems. These include back and neck pain, sciatica, frozen shoulders, digestive problems, allergies, arthritis, and hormonal issues, to name but a few. She also works with men and women on fertility problems, with women during pregnancy, and with babies and children.
“In all my treatments, I take a holistic approach to healing, treating each person as
a unique individual. This process allows the body and mind to begin the restorative
process.”
Traditional acupuncture can be used appropriately during pregnancy and for babies and young children. Young ones only need very short treatment times, and acupressure can also be used. “It can benefit fertility problems in both men and women”, Sue says.
Sue’s Acupuncture clinic in Hove offers another amazing facet of this oriental tradition: the Acupuncture Facial. “Another wonderful aspect of this ancient art is facial revitalisation. This treatment provides the ‘feel good factor’ plus! With facial acupuncture, you can feel and look good. Sometimes called cosmetic acupuncture, it uses hair-fine needles and does more than simply reduce wrinkles. It works on your inner well-being as well as your outer appearance.”
Sue may also treat with therapeutic massage, colour healing, and Chinese patent herbal remedies. All of these can be used in conjunction with acupuncture or separately.
Acupuncture offers a complete approach to well-being. It’s not just about working with a particular complaint; it’s also about understanding how to maintain your health, cope with stress, and really get the best out of life.
